Woodland Park (20 minutes away) groceries, other essentials, restaurants, vendors may be here,

hotels, Walmart, bars, breweries, boutiques, fast food, auto shops, and more

Divide (15 minutes)- groceries, gas, small markets, liquor stores, restaurants, brewery

Florissant (a few minutes)- Fossil Bed Museum and nature walk, Guffey Gulch State Park (little hike and swimming hole), dive bar with live music sometimes, groceries, gas, small markets, liquor stores, restaurants, Hunter Bros pizza take-out, Philly Cheesesteak food truck

Lake George (a few minutes away)-Eleven Mile Canyon (state park with fee) with river, fishing, camping, great for couples photos (note: Lake George closeby is great for photos but the water is not accessible to the public)

Cripple Creek (30 minutes south of Florissant)- historic town with casinos, events, and restaurants

Buena Vista or Salida (about 1-1.5 hours away)-cool river towns, hot springs, boutiques, restaurants, guided river tours and other adventures
